2024 Anoka County Recycling Ambassador Program

Anoka County would like to share an exciting opportunity for Oak Grove community members to get involved in waste reduction efforts this summer. The Anoka County Recycling Ambassador Program is a volunteer-based initiative that promotes waste reduction, recycling, and organics education, and it is available for everyone in Anoka County age 18+.
The program is designed for individuals who are passionate about waste reduction and recycling and want to make a positive impact in their community. Recycling Ambassadors complete a free 6-week training session and commit to volunteering 30 hours of their time towards activities that minimize waste and provide waste reduction education in the County. Volunteer opportunities are posted on our website here, and Recycling Ambassadors are encouraged to create their own opportunities. If you have an event or are seeking assistance on a project, you can submit a form to request a Recycling Ambassador volunteer here.
This year, we are hosting one summer session and can use your help to promote. We would be grateful if you could help us spread the word through your network, websites, or publications to encourage interested individuals to sign up. Attached is a pdf with information about the program dates and where to register. I have physical copies of this postcard as well. If you have any questions or would like more information about the program, please feel free to reach out to me.
Thank you for your support and for helping us promote this important initiative.
